In Retina, asset class is the economic exposure category of a position. It is not the same as position type. A staked ETH LST is the position type “Staking” and the asset class “ETH”.

Why economic exposure

If you hold 1 ETH directly, 1 wstETH on Lido, and 1 weETH on EtherFi, all 3 move with the price of ETH. Grouping them as “Staking” or “Wallet” tells you how you hold them. Grouping them as ETH tells you what you are exposed to. The Dashboard’s Economic Asset Allocation pie uses the asset class so the slices add up to a real exposure breakdown.
