# History, activity, and performance

> Compare snapshots, explain portfolio changes, and classify on-chain flows in Retina.

Retina separates raw portfolio value changes from investment performance. This matters whenever you deposit, withdraw, bridge, or move assets between your own wallets.

## History

Open **History** and choose **Snapshots** to review the saved timeline.

You can inspect:

* Portfolio value over time
* Raw value change and flow-adjusted performance
* Net invested capital
* Best and worst snapshot intervals
* Asset mix over time
* Polymarket and locked-capital changes
* The snapshot ledger, with open, rename, select, export, and delete actions

Use the date range and value or performance controls to focus the comparison.

## What Changed

After a new snapshot, select **What Changed** from the app header. Retina compares the new snapshot with the previous one and groups the change into useful explanations.

The review can include:

* Deposits and withdrawals
* Transfers between tracked wallets
* Bridges
* Protocol entries and exits
* Rewards and income
* Market movement
* Wallets or positions that appeared or disappeared
* Differences Retina could not classify confidently

Retina shows uncertainty instead of turning an incomplete explanation into a precise claim.

## Activity

Open **History**, then choose **Activity** to inspect on-chain activity across tracked EVM, Solana, and Hyperliquid addresses.

Filter by wallet, network, direction, classification, or date. Retina removes routine approvals and common noise so the list stays focused on portfolio-relevant events.

## Correct a classification

When an activity item is classified incorrectly, change its category. You can also create a recurring counterparty rule for future matching events.

Classification changes update performance calculations. They do not rewrite the underlying on-chain transaction or an already captured snapshot.

## Performance settings

Open **My Account** to choose:

* Raw value change or performance as the headline
* Time-weighted or money-weighted return handling
* Whether rewards count as performance or deposits
* Whether gas counts as a performance drag
* Whether the dashboard shows total value or liquid and locked value separately
